Pakistan has requested $10 billion in funds from the United States to stabilize its currency. If approved, this fund would support the South Asian economy, which is currently facing fiscal difficulties. Pakistan's involvement in facilitating negotiations related to the Iran war has enhanced its diplomatic influence and raised expectations that it could gain economic benefits from Washington and other partners. In its request, Pakistan seeks a bilateral currency stabilization support fund valued at $10 billion between the U.S. and the Pakistani government, with a maximum duration of five years. If agreed upon, this arrangement would bolster Pakistan's reserves, alleviate pressure on the Pakistani rupee, and reduce reliance on multilateral financing, while Pakistan will implement stricter fiscal and monetary policies in accordance with the International Monetary Fund's program.
