The U.S. government has filed a civil forfeiture lawsuit seeking to seize approximately 2.118 million USDT from an address starting with 0xf322. The funds are suspected to be linked to a Southeast Asian cryptocurrency investment scam known as a "pig butchering" scheme. At least 13 victims were directed to a fraudulent trading platform via WhatsApp, continuously transferring USDT or cash, which was subsequently split, aggregated, and laundered through multiple transfers. The U.S. Secret Service, FBI, and Memphis Virtual Currency Task Force tracked 76 intermediary addresses and traced the flow of funds to this wallet. If the court supports the government's claim, the related USDT will be forfeited and become the property of the U.S. government.
