Odaily News US President Trump signed the Big, Beautiful tax and spending bill into law on July 4 local time (early morning of July 5 Beijing time).
On the afternoon of July 3, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Big and Beautiful bill promoted by President Trump with 218 votes in favor and 214 votes against. The bill has been controversial because it will lead to cuts in federal aid, increase long-term debt, and cut taxes for the rich and large companies. Two Republican congressmen voted against the bill that day. The bill was passed by the Senate on July 1. (CCTV News)
