Ionic Digital Debuts on Nasdaq, Valuation at $2.25 Billion

Ionic Digital has commenced trading on Nasdaq under the symbol IOND, four years after the bankruptcy of Celsius. The shares reached a price of $62.9, and the company was valued at approximately $2.25 billion. Ionic opted for a direct listing, allowing existing shareholders, including former Celsius clients, to sell their stakes. Following the platform's collapse in June 2022, clients received around 37 million shares of the new company in exchange for their claims. The Nasdaq debut provides them with the opportunity to sell their shares, although it does not mean a full recovery of their losses. Ionic plans to develop infrastructure for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing, while revenues from Bitcoin mining have dropped by 82%, to $7.4 million in the first quarter of 2026. Celsius clients can now assess the value of the shares they received instead of cash.
