CZ Plans to Sue US Senator Elizabeth Warren for Defamation
BlockBeats News, October 29, according to the New York Post, CZ is considering suing U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren for defamation. The reason behind this is that after Trump issued a pardon, Warren tweeted that CZ had been "convicted of money laundering." However, CZ has never been convicted of money laundering; he was previously only accused of violating the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in the U.S. and Binance's failure to implement effective anti-money laundering procedures.
CZ's lawyer, Teresa Goody Guillen, stated that she is preparing a letter to request Warren to retract her statement. If Warren does not formally retract her statement, CZ plans to immediately file a defamation lawsuit against the senator. Elizabeth Warren is a prominent Democratic member of the Senate Banking Committee and has always been one of the most staunch critics in the crypto field.
